Shamanic healing - what is it and how does it work?

This topic is massive and there are so many techniques used within this title. But in a nutshell, it is a form of very powerful energetic healing that utilises multiple energetic tools and is performed by the shamanic healer alongside their spirit allies or helpers. It is believed in the practice of shamanism that many of our ailments are caused by disharmony, fear and soul loss.

When I commence a session, I begin by setting an intention of what I hope to achieve and for whom (and only with full permission from all involved). I then go into a deep trance meditation where I meet with my very reliable and well-known spirit guides and power animals. From this space and with my intention set, I follow my guides along timelines to when events occurred and to find the source of problems, and to gain more information.

Once we find these events we can then offer healing at that point in time, and also retrieve "lost soul parts" that remained at that point in time, such as when a trauma occurred (for example you know that feeling when you get a shock after something difficult happens and you don't feel like you are "all there" afterwards - this can be a symptom of soul loss). By retrieving all parts of the soul and bringing back to the being, and by giving energetic healing at the appropriate points of time, great healing can occur if the recipient is ready for it.

A case I worked with once was a horse who wind-sucked. After beginning with animal communication with the horse about when and why it began, we journeyed back to the time it began and ran energy healing at that time. We also retrieved a soul piece and brought it back to the current time. That horse gradually stopped windsucking after this session, put on weight and improved overall in his happiness from what I heard recently from his person.

After a session I am often guided to provide instructions for integration over the coming days, weeks and even months for the client.

Just like with us though, not every animal wants to be, or is ready to be healed. They have a destiny and a choice in the matter just like we do, which is important for us to remember also.

This beautiful photo of a sea Eagle was taken by my parents at Lake Argyle. I believe gazing at all of this picture brings us very quickly into the right space to enter a deep meditation to bring about positive change. Perhaps try it, x Narel
